Every year, U of M Strategic Management and Organization Professor Alfred Marcus and his MBA students engage in an intensive two-week seminar in Costa Rica at INCAE, a top MBA program in Latin America. The emphasis of the seminar is on research and innovation. There the students learn how to create a symbiotic relationship between economic growth, environmental concern, and social integrity. The class plays a vital role in the health of our world by developing and utilizing business practices that embrace sustainable development while staying competitive. With a seminar like this, it seems the economic and natural worlds are both bound to profit.
