MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL (3/3/2015) – University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler today presented the U’s biennial budget request before the Senate Higher Education and Workforce Development Committee and praised Sen. Richard Cohen’s appropriations bill (Senate File 1195) to invest in the University.
I am grateful to Governor Dayton for his proposed increased investment in the University of Minnesota. We share a goal to maintain access and affordability for all qualified Minnesota students. With this funding, we will be able to freeze tuition for all Minnesota resident students for the next two years.
An independent review of human subjects research at the University of Minnesota has been completed. The report examines protections within research of human subjects with diminished functional abilities during the years 2011-2014.
